May you walk in peace and may the light of love shine in and through you, now and forever.
The need for peace and love is strong today. My earlier Shabbat Shalom post was sent before I knew of the shootings in Aurora, one of our neighboring towns. It has been a sad day. Many prayers will be offered at tomorrow’s various services and again on Sunday. All will also be wondering how a person can travel so far down the path of cruelty.
We need to work harder to stem violence whether by a deranged person or tyrants or nations bent on power and stamping out the rights of others.
A Jewish Prayer notes, “We cannot pray to God for Peace, for he has laid many paths to lead us there if only we would walk them.”
Stay strong, keep caring, keep striving to bring peace to all.
