HAPPY FOR NO REASON

A slight variation on the idea of being grateful.  This from another of my favorite bloggers, Elizabeth of Mirth and Motivation.

“Act happy, feel happy, be happy, without a reason in the world. Then you can love, and do what you will.” Dan Millman

Haiku: Happy For No Reason… Pages turned or not.

Cold days, long, long nights…
He’s happy for no reason
Pages turned or not…

There are times when joy bubbles up inside of us, even as we’re going though major struggles. What triggers it? Does it even matter? When I saw the picture above, I tried to imagine what life must be like for the delightful Dalai Lama; he always has a sly smile on his face… No reason needed I bet.

EMOTIONAL FITNESS Thoughts

I do want to post every day, but the many posts will be as  this short as this one and often borrowed.  Life is full, happy, and juggling priorities never easy.  Do enjoy Elizabeth’s posts.  She is a winner.  As having been Freshly pressed makes clear.

Am I jealous about her Freshly Pressed awared? Of course, but I am happier about counting  Elizabeth among my blogging friends.

Liking, commenting, sharing are acts of social media kindness.  So if you found this post helpful, do any of the above.  I promise your kindness is always repaid.

DISCLAIMER ONE: EMOTIONAL FITNESS TRAINING IS NOT THERAPY  Even the most learned researchers and therapists quarrel. Take their advice and mine carefully. Don’t just listen to your heart, but also think; don’t just think, listen to your heart. Heart and head working together increase the odds you will find useful advice amid all the promises and hopes pushed at you by others. As others have noted, take what seems useful, leave the rest.

DISCLAIMER TWO: FORGIVE MY GRAMMATICAL ERRORS  If you need perfect posts, you will not find them here. I will understand if you don’t follow, like or share my blog. Not only am I dealing with an aging brain, but all of my life I have been plagued by dysgraphia–a learning disability. If you hang in with me, thank you.

DISCLAIMER THREE: HERE COMES A SHAMELESS PLUG  Work of mine that is professionally edited can be found in my books, available on Amazon and readable on any tablet, laptop, Mac, PC, e-reader or Kindle device. If you enjoy my blog, please consider purchasing one of my books. Thank you.

  1. TY for the re-blog and additional information Katherine. You are one of my favorite bloggers too and I love your directness and kind heart… May you be FP’d someday soon. In my book you already are! TY! :-)

  2. I love this post and I love being happy for no reason. You can’t be happy all the time, I know, but if you have choice, and often we do, why not pick happy.
